Looking to improve your stride, speed, and skating technique? Join us every Wednesday for our Stride Fundamentals Clinic, a semi-private session capped at 6 players for focused, individualized coaching. Led by one of our experienced instructors, players train on our state-of-the-art skating treadmills to refine their stride mechanics, build power, and boost overall skating efficiency.
Open to boys and girls ages 6–16, these sessions are suitable for all skill levels, but players must be able to skate. This is a great way to try out treadmill training at a discounted rate before committing to a private lesson!
Please come dressed in athletic clothing and bring your skates, gloves, and a stick.

Skating Speed Clinic

Get faster with our Speed Clinic on the skating treadmill at Barnburner Hockey Academy! This session is all about developing explosive starts, powerful sprints, and lightning-quick feet to help you dominate in open ice. Players will focus on short-burst acceleration, stride efficiency, and controlled recovery to build true breakaway speed. Whether you’re chasing down a puck or pulling away from defenders, this clinic will help you find that extra gear that separates fast players from the rest.
This clinic is designed for advanced and elite-level skaters who already have strong skating fundamentals and are ready to push their limits. Players should be comfortable with high-intensity treadmill sessions, possess good balance and stride control, and be able to maintain proper form under speed and fatigue. This is not a learn-to-skate session — it’s built for athletes looking to refine mechanics, increase stride power, and elevate their overall skating performance.
