Barnburner’s March Break Camps are built for real skill development, not just ice time.
Players rotate through specialized training stations that focus on the most important parts of the game: skating mechanics, shooting technique, strength, and mobility. Our coaches provide individualized feedback and high-rep training so players can make meaningful improvements in just one week.
Each day includes:
1 Hour – Skating Treadmill Training
Players work on stride mechanics, acceleration, and understanding edges with direct coaching and feedback.
1 Hour – Shooting & Stickhandling
High-rep shooting drills on our synthetic ice shooting lanes to improve shot power, release, and accuracy.
1 Hour – Strength & Mobility Training
Age-appropriate strength, balance, and athletic development in our gym.
2 Hours – On-Ice Development at RINX
Players take the skills they worked on earlier in the day and apply them through skating drills, puck work, and game-situational play.
Unlike many traditional camps where players spend most of the day skating in large groups, Barnburner camps focus on small training groups and individualized coaching to help players build confidence and improve faster.
Spots are limited to maintain a high coach-to-player ratio.

“Our low player-to-coach ratio (6:1) ensures every camper receives the attention and guidance they need to excel. Expert coaching paired with AI-driven skating analysis allows players to improve their stride mechanics and build confidence through data-driven insights. Combined with dedicated shooting sessions and dryland conditioning, our camps offer unparalleled skill development in shooting accuracy, skating, stickhandling, and overall athletic performance.”
“Safety and comfort are at the heart of our camp experience. Unlike many hockey camps where off-ice time is spent in parking lots or crowded dressing rooms, Barnburner provides a clean, air-conditioned facility with designated spaces for meals, play, and rest. Campers can recharge in our boardroom, enjoying lunches and bonding with peers through fun activities like mini-sticks and gaming consoles. This creates an environment where friendships thrive, fostering camaraderie and teamwork alongside skill development. Of course, hockey training isn’t complete without being able to practice their skills on ice. Rinx is a four-pad arena which is just a three-minute walk down the street where we host on-ice portions of our camps.”
“Barnburner is the only hockey training program that combines side-by-side skating treadmills, shooting lanes, and dryland training in one dynamic location. This unique setup ensures that players get more reps, more individualized coaching, and more opportunities to apply their learnings—both in our controlled environment and on the ice during sessions.”
